The Glade Residential Care Home is a family owned Residential Care Home service that takes pride in ensuring that the happiness and wellbeing of all our residents is at the centre of everything we do.

We offer full residential care for the elderly, respite care and early dementia care for people needing help with everyday living.

We understand that no home will ever be the same as your own home but we strive to be the next best thing. That’s why all of our friendly team offer high quality care and believe that the best residential care is personalised and is based on the wants, wishes and needs of each individual resident.

The Glade offers excellent facilities and quality care for up to 25 residents, in a secure and welcoming environment that promotes independence, dignity and freedom of choice.  Several of our rooms offer en-suite facilities.

Each bedroom is furnished and decorated to a high standard to provide a warm, homely environment.

Our residents are all encouraged to customise and personalise their living space with pictures, photographs and ornaments to make their room a real home from home.

There is a large spacious lounge area where residents can relax, equipped with Smart TV, DVD, Blue Ray and radio.

It is our aim to promote the independence and quality of life of our residents and therefore daily activities are planned for their enjoyment.

These include quizes, bingo, art classes, visiting musicians, parties, trips out in our mini bus and in the summer months a gardening club.

We believe we can make anybody feel at home. We offer a warm welcome for visitors and pets at any time, and residents can receive visits from a hairdresser, chiropodist, and enjoy daily newspapers as well as enjoying the daily activities we offer.

All our care staff have NVQ training or are working towards one and we also employ a committed Registered Manager. All our staff are hired because of their commitment to the values we hold.

There is a separate dining room where residents can enjoy their meals. Importantly all of our food is cooked fresh on the premises by our dedicated kitchen staff and we offer a well-planned and nutritious menu, with alternative choices offered based on our residents preferences.

Set in picturesque grounds close to Birkdale Village there are excellent transport links both to the Village and to Southport town centre for our more mobile residents to take advantage of.
